Why Not, Mr Everybody?
James Oliver's latest album has been released to rave reviews in the Philadelphia City Paper, Philadelphia Weekly and others - "Oliver has assembled an album that places him somewhere between heart-on-sleeve sensitive pop tunesmith and blues-infused barroom-ready rocker with a vast collection of Stones and Dylan bootlegs. Casa
Before leaving for NewYork in late '96, James started
recording what was to be an analog 8-track demo in Donal's home studio. At the last minute
he decided to go ahead and do a full production . As a result, the Casa EP was
produced in an extremely unorthodox manner, with drum tracks being laid down in his
bedroom sometime halfway through the project (hence the name). |
